Almond oil contains monounsaturated oleic acid (from 65 to 83%) and polyunsaturated linoleic acid (from 16 to 25%), as well as glycoside amygdalin, vitamins B2, E, carotenes, bioflavonoids, various mineral and protein substances, sugars. The benefits of almond oil are undeniable, thousands of years ago it was widely used as an effective cosmetic and therapeutic agent. In comparison with other fruit stone fruits, almonds are the record holder in terms of the level of oil content in it (up to sixty percent or more). Sweet almond seed oil is used for food and is also used in the preparation of cosmetics, and the oil obtained from bitter almond seeds is used exclusively for technical and cosmetic purposes. It contains an unimaginable amount of linolenic acid glyceride, polyunsaturated fatty acids, tocosterol, phytosterol, amygdalin and other active and useful substances. In addition, it is rich in vitamins, in particular vitamins E, F, A, group B, thanks to which the oil has a beneficial effect on the condition of the skin and hair, as a result of which this product is very popular in the cosmetology industry. In addition to facial and body skin and hair care, almond oil is used in medicine, pharmaceuticals and the perfume industry. It is used as a solvent of camphor used for various injections, as well as for the preparation of emollient and anti-inflammatory ointments.
